The LA Times does a series called You Do ADU. This piece is how the ADU gets paid for, which is obviously important, and is a good review of the options. Something we all need think about is the challenge of financing ADUs for buyers of moderate means; the need and positive consequences for these buyers are significant, but financing is a big hurdle. I am working on it.
